Switzerland says three nationals have been evacuated from Kabul and the Department of Foreign Affairs is working to also evacuate 40 locals who have been working for the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency.
Switzerland does not have an embassy in Afghanistan.
The foreign minister, Ignazio Cassis, says the Swiss are now out of the country with the help of international partners and humanitarian visas are being issued for the local workers.
