The University of Basel will hold a seminar on Tayor Swift this year.
Titled simply ‘Tayor Swift’ the course will focus on the singer’s lyrics and the interpretation of the songs as part of its English course.
The course is proving to be so popular, the organiser Andrew Shields, says he’s had to book a larger room for the seminar.
He says its great preparation for Swift’s upcoming concert in Zurich this summer.
Some disagree with the seminar, saying it’s frivolous. But Basel is not the first university to look at Swift songs. Some US establishments are doing the same as well as the University of Ghent in Belgium.
But those running the course say if students believe it will be just showing how great Taylor Swift is, they will be disappointed.
