While it may not be obvious for those of us stuck under cloud and in the fog in Geneva – the rest of the country is experiencing highly unusual warm weather – especially in the mountains.
At the beginning of the month a new record was set -the highest ever zero-degree market – at 4,284 meters.
This is not normal – forecasters say the temperatures are too high in the mountains for this time of year. The reason is a very stable high-pressure area.
So, when is the snow coming?
Maybe the middle of next week. Temperatures are expected to fall with the weather becoming more unsettled – that will probably mean snow on the higher ground.
