Anyone who needs a Covid test for travel before Christmas and hasn’t made an appointment is likely to be very disappointed.
Test centers right across the country are working to capacity and have no spare spaces.
It’s not just those travelling that’s pushing the test centers to the limit – but many want to have a test before visiting family and the new regulations mean many more want a negative certificate.
Fabrice Eggly from the M3 group which runs the test centre at Geneva airport says they’re also having to deal with more positive tests – which is slowing down the process further. He says any positive antigen test then needs to be backed up with a PCR test.
