Thousands enjoy the sun over the weekend.

Thousands took to the beaches, the lakes and the parks over the weekend to enjoy temperatures in the high 20s – and also in the knowledge the warm snap will be brief.

In Geneva the lake side was packed with sun worshippers and the lake filled with people enjoying the water.
Emergency services were kept busy, three people, and their dog had to be towed back to shore on their pedalo after they drifted too far.

A catamaran capsized and had to be brought back and several sailing boats needed assistance.

In the city it was much the same on Saturday with thousands of shoppers on the streets. Major queues formed at car parks as drivers waited to pay at the machines.
