Two crashes on A1 cause traffic chaos

An accident on the A1 autoroute near Zurich led to major delays and injured several people.

A truck carrying cider crossed the central reservation and smashed into another heading in the opposite direction. 

That led to further accidents involving another truck and five cars.

Four people were injured.

The road near Seebach was closed for several hours. 

In a separate incident, a 63 year old motorcyclist died in a crash on the A1, this time near Wallisellen in Zurich. He died at the scene. 

The road was also closed for several hours.

Investigations into both are now underway.
