Two men, aged 32 and 33, working at the printing works that makes the autoroute vignettes have been given house arrest and a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of stealing the stickers and selling them online.
The thefts were between 2022 and 2024.
They took batches that had been earmarked for destruction due to printing errors.
They will have to serve 6 months under house arrest and the remaining 30 months suspended.
They will also have to pay CHF 4,500 each for costs and repay the company.
It’s thought they pocketed nearly CHF 100,000.
