An investigation is underway after two planes from the Patrouille Suisse aerobatic display team collided mid-air during a training flight in the canton of Zug.
Luckily no one was seriously injured.
Patrouille Suisse, which is part of the Swiss Air Force, was preparing for an air show over Lake Zug this weekend as part of the Federal Yodellers’ Festival when the accident happened.
The nose of one of the planes broke off and hit the front of a house, shattering windows on impact. One person in the house was slightly injured by shards of glass. Both pilots were unhurt.
When the two planes touched, the braking parachute of one of them was triggered and it landed soon afterwards.
