Unions are complaining about poor working conditions on a building site in Cologny in Geneva.
A new luxurious villa is being built by the United Arab Emirates. It’s due to become the country’s Permanent Mission and will also be used for accommodation.
Workers say they haven’t been issued with safety equipment and covid rules are being ignored. Unions claim some workers haven’t been paid.
The construction companies involved and the United Arab Emirates are not responding to requests for comment.
