Violence against Geneva’s public transport employees remains a concern.
Official figures from TPG show around 12 to 20 assaults are prosecuted each year since 2022, after a peak of 29 in 2021.
But the Transport Staff Union, SEV, says the reality is worse: many verbal assaults go unreported.
The TPG admits nearly 180 incidents occur annually without legal follow-up, as the company only files complaints in cases of damage or theft.
The union is calling for more support, including psychological help and stronger reporting procedures.
