Vapers ignore train station smoking rules

Smoking rules at Swiss train stations are under scrutiny - especially when it comes to vaping.

While smoking is only allowed in designated zones, complaints are rising about e-cigarette users ignoring the rules.

The Swiss Association for Tobacco Prevention is calling for stricter enforcement, including fines of up to 500 francs.

But Swiss Federal Railways says most people comply, and penalties currently focus on administrative fees rather than fines.

Officials receive a handful of complaints each week.
