Enough people have signed an initiative to force the issue of compulsory vaccination to the vote. Over 125,000 backed the move.
The initiative would put into the constitution that people could never be vaccinated against their will.
While the government says it has no plans to bring in compulsory vaccination – and it doesn’t really have the powers anyway, if the people vote in favor of the initiative, it would close the door on the option.
There’s currently no date set for that vote.
