A waitress working at a Geneva coffee shop has had a Covid fine quashed by a court.
The worker failed to note the contact details of a customer while restrictions were in place. She was initially fined CHF 2,500 - but that was lowered during an appeal to CHF 1,700.
But a court has now thrown out the entire amount – saying the worker cannot be held responsible for the whole business.
The union – Unia – is calling on the canton to stop targeting innocent workers – when business owners should be the focus.
