A wolf has been spotted in the Geneva commune of Jussy.
The observation is leading to warnings from the cantonal environment office not to approach it – or attempt to feed it. Although experts say they’re not surprised the animal has ventured into Geneva and its return is natural.
A wolf was spotted on a camera trap in the canton at the beginning of the year – the first time for 150 years.
This latest encounter shows the animal’s territory is expanding.
