A worker on a funicular railway in canton Graubünden has been seriously injured after being dragged behind a train for 10 metres.
The 61-year-old man was on the line in Samedan when he was caught by a passing train yesterday morning.
Helicopter paramedics treated the man with serious leg injuries on the spot before taking him to the cantonal hospital in Chur.
Transport safety experts are now investigating, the man’s colleagues are being given psychological support.
