Switzerland’s Federal Office for Cybersecurity is warning about a growing callback scam targeting bank and payment app users.
Unlike classic phishing, the messages contain no links. Instead, victims are urged to call a phone number about a supposed suspicious transaction.
That call connects directly to scammers.
Authorities say criminals are switching tactics as spam filters are becoming more effective.
The fraudsters impersonate banks, Twint or tax offices.
They then ask for further details so the bank account can be hacked.
