You can't campaign in uniform

An election candidate is in trouble with the army after he posed for a poster wearing his uniform.

Yves Collet is standing for the Liberal Party in Schaffhausen.

With the slogan, ‘Security is the right call’ he’s been photographed in uniform.

An army spokesman has confirmed he’s received a disciplinary warning. They stress that anyone wearing the uniform has to act politically neutral.

A few years ago, a candidate for the Swiss People’s Party was fined for handing out leaflets in his uniform.
