There are a quarter of a million job vacancies in Switzerland.
A survey by the human resources website x28 says half the jobs are being advertised through agencies and the other half on company’s own websites.
While there are a wide range of options, it’s clear there are two sectors most in need – nurses and electricians. More than 7,000 nurses are needed and nearly 5,000 electricians.
Cantons Zurich and Bern have the most vacancies.
