Aargau told review citizenship decision - again

Canton Aargau has had another naturalization decision overturned by a court.

It was only a few weeks ago a court ruled a young man should get a Swiss passport despite the canton rejecting the application because of a minor shop lifting offence when he was a teenager.

The value stolen was around 120 francs.

In this latest ruling, the court says a 15-year-old should be naturalized. Again, he had been rejected by the canton as he had been fined for a souped up moped.  Police said the bike was too loud and had an illegal exhaust.

The court called that decision arbitrary and ordered the canton to review their decision.
