The airport slowly returned to normal over the course of the weekend. By Saturday afternoon the majority of flights were on time.
Workers called off their strike on Friday afternoon – the action shutdown the airport for most of Friday.
Unions say they’re happy to have reached an agreement with the management.
The walkout was called after a new pay scale was voted on by the board. Unions say it would have meant a cut in pay and a loss of bonuses.
The agreement puts back the implementation of the new pay deal until January 2025 – and an independent negotiator will be brought in. Full scale talks will start after the summer.
The unions have agreed not to call any further strikes while talks are ongoing.
