Many residents of the stricken village of Blatten are shocked after they received an anonymous letter.
Many areas of the village were wiped out after a major rockfall earlier this year.
The letter questions why the resident are upset about their lost homes, after the village voted against the CO2 law in 2021.
Many believe the rockfall was triggered by the melting of the permafrost, an effect of climate change.
The implication is the residents are to blame.
But it hasn’t gone down well. One local told the Blick newspaper that the letter is disrespectful and they have lost everything.
