Restaurants and cafes in Geneva will be required to offer at least one wine produced in the canton.
The Grand Council decided last week on the measure and will offer a million-franc subsidy to support establishments to buy locally produced drinks.
They’ll be able to claim back CHF 200 for every CHF 1000 spent.
The Socialist Party has also submitted a motion that any public or state body should only serve local drinks at their events.
