Up to 30 drilling sites have been identified for checking to see if the ground will be suitable for the CERN Future Circular Collider.
The results of the feasibility study will be revealed in March next year.
The new collider will be 91 kilometres long under Geneva and France and it’s expected to cost CHF 15bn.
In Geneva, holes will be dug in Satigny, Dardagny and even under the lake.
