Cheesemaker accused of stealing tonnes

An award winning cheesemaker in canton Valais is facing charges that he stole more than 12 tonnes of raclette cheese for over three years from the dairy he works at.

The man admits to selling a few wheels of cheese for personal gain, but disputes the amount.

The loss is being estimated at CHF 120,000 by authorities, but the dairy owner believes it could be more than CHF 400,000.

The trial continues.
