China spying on minorities in Switzerland

A report suggests Tibetans and Uygurs living in Switzerland are under surveillance by China or being encouraged to spy on their community.

The Federal Office of Justice commissioned a report from the University of Basel.

It found the two groups are being systematically monitored. That includes being filmed and photographed.

Swiss citizens attached to the groups are also being watched.

The government says it is committed to looking at additional measures to protect the vulnerable groups from transnational repression.
