Campaigners are demanding the creation of citizen assemblies to legislate against finance to protect the environment.
The two Green Parties and the group of left-wing parties support the idea. But the Geneva Citizens’ Movement are more cautious and say any assemblies shouldn’t override traditional democratic legitimacy.
