The investigation into the fire at a bar in Crans-Montana has taken a new turn, after a former municipal employee refused to answer questions during a hearing.
Prosecutors say the man exercised his right to remain silent, bringing the session to an early end.
Lawyers representing victims have criticised the move, saying families are still searching for answers. One called the employee ‘cowardly’ for not answering questions.
The man is believed to have worked in fire safety.
