Cyclists in Geneva are far more likely to be hurt or even killed on the roads than anywhere else in the country.
A total of 409 incidents involving cyclists were recorded in 2025 - up 10 percent - with four fatalities.
Figures from the Federal Roads Office shows the risk is significantly higher than the national average, with cyclists in Geneva around 50 percent more likely to have an accident than in Basel.
Campaign group Pro Vélo Genève says the figures show Geneva has a specific problem and says many incidents may go unreported.
