A teen with a water pistol caused havoc near Zurich on Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to reports of someone with a pistol in Geroldswil. An amateur video also captured the young man twirling a gun around his finger as he crossed the street.
Witnesses described a heavy police presence, including armed officers, multiple vehicles, a helicopter, and an ambulance.
But Zurich cantonal police later said there was no danger to the public as the weapon turned out to be a fake.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested at home and questioned.
A classmate told reporters the item was just a water pistol, though police have yet to confirm.
