Zurich could get its first official harvest of cannabis by the summer.
The Federal Office of Public Health has given the go ahead for growers to plant their seeds.
It’s part of a project to allow researchers to examine the effect of cannabis on its users.
Initially two companies are involved with the project. They will be able to make and sell THC and CBD products.
Cannabis to smoke will be available to those taking part in the study, which is open only to regular consumers who live in Zurich.
