The Tribune de Genève is now reporting an owner of a 1998 Chrysler Voyager has seen their annual bill move from CHF 425 to CHF 3,900 – a rise of more than 900%.
Syvain Thévoz, a member of the tax commission says that the information given to people before the March 3rd vote was incomplete.
The Grand Council will discuss emergency measures – perhaps putting the new law on hold or allowing staged payments.
