A Geneva delivery driver had to flag down a passing motorist to catch up with his van that had been stolen when he’d briefly left the vehicle.
The driver was near the train station on Wednesday evening and had left the keys in the ignition while he was making a nearby delivery. A 45-year-old man then jumped in and drove away.
The van driver quickly enlisted the help of a passing car and managed to catch up with his van. A violent struggle followed which meant the police were involved.
The van thief was arrested and found to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
