Economic forecasters are confident Geneva’s fortunes will improve throughout the course of the year and into 2022.
Predictions suggest the local economy will grow 4% this year - but that following a fall of 3% last year. The growth should continue into 2022, with GDP expected to grow 3%.
But there is one important caveat – the pandemic continues to improve.
A study by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce says more than half of businesses have seen volumes drop by more than half – but there is optimism, nearly 39% of companies believe the next half of the year will be better,
