The City of Geneva is preparing its heatwave plan.
It’s designed to protect any one over the age of 65 in extreme heat conditions. Those over that age living in the city should have received a letter by now telling them how to get support if they need it – but it’s not too late to register.
Over 65s can have free swimming pool access and get free movie tickets so they can relax in air-conditioning.
It’s not just the elderly, also childcare facilities have been issued with curtains and parasols in certain areas.
