Geneva rescue services practice on lake

Fighters on the road wasn’t the only aircraft exercise yesterday.

In Geneva, helicopter rescue teams showed off their skills on how to save someone in trouble in the lake.

Off the shore of the Eaux-Vives beach, a diver plunged into the waters from a helicopter to help.

On shore, teams practiced life saving techniques.

Unlike the planes, in this case the public were welcome to watch.

Emergency services had set up stands to highlight their work and give safety tips for all those who like swimming in the lake.
