Geneva schools are not using Microsoft Office any longer – due to privacy concerns.
The US giant changed its policy over the summer which would mean that every student would have to set up an account, so their name and details will be stored on a Microsoft server.
The Education Department considers that unacceptable – so students will now be using the open-source software, LibreOffice.
The move affects children up to the age of 15. Older kids will still use Microsoft for the time being.
