Geneva’s crackdown on reckless electric scooter use has led to hundreds of violations and dozens of confiscations.
Between late May and early October, police carried out more than a hundred checks in busy areas like the Jardin Anglais and Parc des Bastions.
In total 190 e-scooters were checked.
Some were clocked at over 30 kilometers per hour, well above the 20 limit.
Those vehicles were seized and destroyed, and their owners fined several hundred francs.
The city says enforcement will continue to ensure safer streets for pedestrians.
