Geneva police used sniffer dogs to make sure no one had been buried after a rockfall on a path near St Jean on the banks of the Rhone.
Around 10m3 of rock crashed down the cliffs into the river, wiping away part of a path yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters abseiled down the cliff to make further checks.
The area has now been sealed off. Further checks on the stability of the cliff will be made later today.
