So, when there are jams at the tunnel, drivers will be able to take the pass.
A new autoroute exit for the pass has now been built, which means the town of Wassen is spared the through traffic.
The Susten pass will partially open on Friday. The full opening won’t be until the middle of June.
The Furka pass remains closed due to road works, but it should open at the end of this month.
