Heavy traffic alert - school holidays

Be ready for heavy traffic – heavier than the normally heavy traffic.

This weekend, winter holidays start in France and tens of thousands will be heading for the slopes.

Authorities warn the A40 – known as the Autoroute Blanche – will be particularly busy this weekend as well as the next three after that.

The weekend of February 22 is especially notable as it will be a cross over of three French school zones.

The advice is to make sure your car is fully equipped for winter driving, check the weather and expect the journey to be slower.
