Swiss house prices saw a modest increase over the past year. According to the Zurich consultancy, FPRE, the average rise was 4.7%.
It was the most expensive property that saw the strongest gains – but in the mid-range, the rise was still over 3%.
But apartment prices remained fairly flat, only registering a rise of just over 1%.
But the rises are limited to the areas of higher population, such as Zurich and Geneva.
Homes in the Alpine region and around the Jura actually fell by about half a percent.
But experts say they expect prices to continue to climb in the medium term, as there’s limited building and a strong demand.
