Hundreds demonstrated in Bern yesterday evening against the Taliban take-over in Afghanistan. The protestors were made up of Afghan refugees and exiles as well as migrant groups.
The crowd outside the Federal Palace called on the government boost humanitarian aid in Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries to help them cope with the expected wave of refugees.
The Bern based Migrant Solidarity Network says the government needs to reassess refused Afghani asylum seekers and show understanding to those in the country on a time-limited visa.
