Huskies - popular and abandoned

More and more huskies are being abandoned.

The dog breed has proven to be very popular over the last few years. Owners are attracted to their personality and their coats.

But they are also very demanding. The manager of an animal shelter in Payerne in canton Vaud pointed out to RTS that they are pack animals and hate being left alone.

Huskies are really a victim of their own success – as more people get them – more get abandoned.
