Meat in Switzerland is likely to become significantly more expensive – mirroring price rises elsewhere in Europe.
Some cuts have soared by as much as 75% in Germany.
The Swiss Meat Association says prices are not climbing that much – yet – but price rises are definately coming.
They say the main reasons are higher costs of raw materials, packaging, energy and wages.
One butcher told the 20 minutes newspapers that he has to pay more for everything and believes a price hike of around 8% is due soon.
