A massive fund-raising day yesterday collected over CHF 82m to help those affected by the Ukrainian crisis.
Organised by the charity Swiss Solidarity, hundreds of volunteers took tens of thousand of calls from those willing to donate.
Some lucky callers may even have had their call answered by the President himself. Ignazio Cassis sat in for a while taking calls, as did other politicians and celebrities.
Swiss Solidarity works with the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation and will pass on every centime to aid agencies helping those affected.
It’s still possible to donate on the website, which is in English, swiss-solidarity.org
