The Federal Council is expected to discuss if the economy should be opened up further at their regular meeting tomorrow – and pressure is growing on the government to show some leniency.
Last week many businesses were shocked when the Federal Task Force advised no further reopening for another three months.
At a press conference in Bern yesterday, a series of small and medium sized businesses urged the government to end restrictions immediately.
They say there should be better use of screening, isolation and tracing – as well as vaccination.
A survey by the Tribune de Genève shows over 60% of people say there should be either a compete or partial reopening straightaway. And then half of those say the most important sector to open up now is hospitality.
Only 16% want more sport.
More and more politicians say Monday should be set as a date for further easing.
