Next month voters will be asked if a trade deal with Indonesia should go ahead. It’s the first-time voters have been asked to green-light a trade deal.
This deal is contentious because of the country’s palm-oil production. Environmentalists say the plantations are destroying rain forests. They fear a free trade deal will only encourage production.
But an analysis by the Blick newspaper shows palm-oil is in half of all products in the supermarket and it’s used in diesel fuel.
It's in food, candles, cosmetics, cleaning products and bio fuels.
It may take more than a no vote in Switzerland to cut its use.
