Two parrots have been found at the bottom of an underground recycling bin in Soral.
The Geneva cantonal vet’s office is outraged and says it would like any information about the birds in the hope to track down the person who abandoned them.
The head vet, Michel Rérat says he’s shocked – and says it’s illegal. If someone can’t look after an animal, they can always take it to the SGPA.
The birds were in a cage and a firefighter went down into the bin to retrieve them.
They’re now being looked after at the Ornithological Centre in Genthod, where they’re doing fine.
