Police in canton Sankt Gallen are on alert after several reports of children being lured into a car on Monday afternoon.
No child is missing – but police say they’ve spoken about the risks to schools.
They say there were three separate reports from three different towns in the canton – Wang, Vilters and Bad Ragaz. The description of the man is similar, they confirm.
The reports all came in on Monday afternoon. Police say they stepped up patrols near schools with uniformed and undercover officers.
The police say they’re taking the reports very seriously, but have not sent out warning messages on platforms designed to alert the public when a child actually goes missing. They say that could lead to uncertainty and fear.
But they do urge anyone to contact them if they see anything suspicious.
