There were demonstrations on Saturday in towns and cities across the country – including Geneva, Lausanne, Bern and Zurich.
Protestors are calling for a reduction in the working week – with the same pay - in an effort to cut overproduction and save the climate.
Organised by Climate Strike, trade unions and other groups – speakers point to the most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which suggests there are just three years left to act to cut carbon emissions.
